When we first met with Caitlin and Matt the plan was a grand event just outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. But, as with most of our stories from over the past year, plans had to change, and this love story headed up north into New England for a quaint and charming Connecticut wedding day.
It was picture perfect, not a cloud in the sky when we arrived at East Wharf Beach Park in Madison, Connecticut on the morning of their spring wedding day. Matt stood seaside waiting to for his first look of his beautiful bride. And if you’re looking for a spectacular backdrop for your wedding photos this was absolutely the perfect location.
After a 10-minute drive inland, we arrived at a beautiful quintessential cottage, home to friends of the bride and groom and the perfect venue for this intimate backyard wedding.
The handcrafted arbor was the centerpiece of the visually stunning rustic ceremony and with only close family and friends gathered and the celebration of Caitlin and Matt began.
As the sun set the reception began and featured one of their favorite local food vendors Oak Haven Table & Bar (which was super yummy.) There were personalized centerpieces on each table that told the story of how they met and fell in love.
After the intimate dinner they shared drinks, special moments and memories under the stars as the next chapter of their lives was set to begin.
